I have trusted SWDS with a lot of heirloom items clients have brought to me and they have always done a stellar job. They are very communicative, and really do their best in situations where there have been 30+ year old stains. What really surprises me about Will’s team and talent is how he has made 80+ year old dresses look so much more white and less yellowed. He has brought new life back to laces for us!

I took my dress here to get cleaned and preserved. They walked me through their process and said someone will go inch by inch to make sure everything is cleaned and fixed if anything like rips have happened (which is very normal for wedding gowns). It was scheduled 1.5 months later for me to pick it up, and when I checked just one spot in the store on the pickup day, a whole was not fixed, so they apologized and the dress stayed there to get fixed. I picked it up two weeks later, when I brought home to check the dress I was shocked from the poor quality of stitching they had done- I could have done it better myself.
There is also visible stains that they did not get out in multiple locations, and the only other small rip on the dress has not been fixed. Also my veil had been packed into the box like trash.
I am very unhappy with the results given the price. And I am angry at myself that I spent this money. My dress would have been better cleaned had I gone to the dry cleaners down the street, as I did with my rehearsal dress and my husband’s suit, and I would have paid hundreds of dollars less.
The two stars is only because the owner and his son are nice people socially - but I would not take my dress here if I were you.
