Updated Review: after 4 months (took over a lease) things were all over the place. The primary elevator was out for half of the time I’ve been here but finally they got it back online. That was a pretty annoying inconvenience. I just want to keep honest in my reviews of the place and offer ownership feedback:
Pros: The office staff are excellent. Anytime I walk into the office they are attentive and are willing to help or explain something to me. Undervalued part of living in an apartment complex because something will eventually happen that you could use help on. I enjoy the access to parcel lockers and accessibility for package deliveries - easy to find and access and more safe than even typical house porches. Location: not perfect but there’s plenty of cool food and drink spots within a block or two if you’re just wanting to meander for an evening nearby. The unit I have is generally nice.
Cons: Parking. Like it’s not great at all. They do have a garage, which does not come with the apartment. There’s off street parking, but not many spaces. The garage is limited in space and not enough space for all residents - a weird miss by the people who built these units. Given that street parking is very limited the musical chairs game is a bit annoying and there’s always the risk of theft or vandalism. In fact a vehicle across the road from mine had their window bashed it my 2nd week here, that’s not a great feeling. In terms of the units I think not all have up to date appliances - I think the builders probably cut a few corners. The dishwasher seems very budget-y but it works just well enough to work for a medium load of dishes. The rooms are just ok for the 2BR and offer small closets.
I really want to love the place but for how new the building is there are too many moments of “is this really worth the money they’re asking?”. I have to make that decision soon. But if they’d offer a parking space with rent and not raise it when others are starting to come down, I’d easily stay.
Edit: the issue occurred on 9/9/23 and was taken care of the next morning. Props to them for getting a quick resolution to my issue.
I’ve been living here for over a year and a half now. Normally I would give a higher review but there’s been too many issues in this building, even some recent reviewers had similar issues to what I’ve been experiencing. Like others have posted, the new staff are very helpful and polite, so nothing against them. That being said, today BOTH garage doors went down and aren’t working as well as ALL doors to get into/out of the building. Tried calling the emergency number on the lease and apparently that’s the incorrect number as some random man answered and was confused as to why our emergency number on the lease went to him.
Add on the other issues such as the downstairs gym that makes noise at 6am every morning where it reverberates up the walls and into units indoors and you can see why some tenants have been upset as of late. The loudness of the fire station some people can generally get used to and it’s background noise to me now, but the inconsistency of doors/elevators/garage doors has been irritating. Again, generally it takes a lot to get me upset, but this is extremely irritating. For what they charge for rent and all the extra fees, you would think such occurrences wouldn’t be commonplace.
