I have had the absolute worst experience with this company. Around 1/20/21 I submitted the request that we start the process of taking over an existing contract. They were slow to respond, did not get back to me with information when promised, and it took all the way until 3/8 for the takeover to be complete...or so I thought.
On 3/23, my office was broken into--the LITERAL thing that I am paying them to protect me for and notify me about immediately. I did not find out until almost an hour later, and only did find out because I woke up at 3:50am and just so happened to check my phone and saw the alerts, but nobody had called me, as they were supposed to.
I called the monitoring company and THEY WERE NEVER UPDATED WITH MY INFORMATION BY SECURE, AND WERE CALLING THE WRONG PERSON! The monitoring company had not received the request to change the information on the account or the emergency contact information in case of break-in/issue, so they were calling the previous business owner at 3am, who wasn't even in the country.
Livid. Absolutely livid.
I called the next day and refused to continue talking with Dave, who had been difficult to work with up to that point--nice guy, terrible communication. I spoke with Mike O'Hara, the manager, and informed him that I would not be staying in my contract with them, and he could figure out how to make it right by me.
The best he came up with was to offer a free month of monitoring until I could find a new company, not even refunding me for the month I paid that they failed me on or offering any kind of compensation for damages.
By that following Saturday, I set up with ADT, who was timely, responsive, easy to work with and very kind. I informed Mike immediately via email and was told that complete cancellation would be taken care of on 3/29/21.
THEN!!!!! I notice on my bank account that on 4/2 they took money from my bank account and I was still on auto-withdraw. I emailed him on the 3rd, he responded on the 5th saying "We have reversed the charges back to your account. Please keep an eye on it for the next couple days to make sure it is back on your account." As of 4/9, the money has still not been returned.
Working with this company is a nightmare, and I still seem to be stuck in it.
