Send a Cake

Little misleading, cake box option was $33 eneded up costing over $100. I guess the $33 option from Send A Cake didn't come with a cake. So, cake was extra, butterflies were extra, shipping was extra, photos were extra, and depending on how you want your message written it can cost extra. Kinda lame, just show the option and say it's $100.

We splurged on this for my father-in-law. My kids were very excited to send this to their grandpa. When we made the order, you can select the day it should be delivered (our delivery day was a Tuesday) We got shipping/ tracking info when it was shipped, letting us know it would arrive a day earlier than we requested. That's fine. Since it was supposed to be delivered on Monday, I texted my mother-in-law to let her know that it was coming, and that my kids would like to see it (the butterflies (that cost extra) flying out ) when their grandpa opened it. I texted her Saturday morning to let her know it was supposed to arrive Monday (per the shipping info I got). Well, she texted back that it had arrived an hour earlier (on Saturday, 4 days earlier than we asked) and that he had already opened it. My kids will be very upset they didn't get to see it. I did get an email that the cake had been delivered. In fact the email was in my inbox around the same time I was texting, so the notification that it had been delivered was late too. I wish I had known.... Almost $90 we spent on this and didn't get to share in the fun surprise. Really bummed.

Packing and presentation was A+. Would have given a 5star if the cake was as amazing and priced at a more affordable price. But it’s great if you’re really interested in getting a reaction/surprising friend/family.
