We had our daughter wedding here last Wednesday Oct 2024. I was highly disappointed as we walked on wet grass and sat on muddy chairs, my dress along with several others had mud on them, the next complaint I have is the food we paid for the Buffett and had to ask numerous times for to go plates I am shocked we were able to take our deserts home but nothing else. I’m wanting partial payment back for the food because there was a lot left over and I read that large venues like this is suppose to provide the to go plates. Well everytime someone asked for one it was an inconvenience, we paid for wine that was never was used but couldn’t take that home as well because no cap. So I don’t get it it’s ok to take our deserts home but the food no ? They rather you give away the food instead of it being thrown away is what I read on the California food law. I didn’t pay for everyone else to eat off my dime. So if someone from this venue wants to reach out to me they can. Other then those complaints the venue was nice but very expensive if your planning on having a wedding here.
My husband and I absolutely loved Sequoia Mansion, we got married October 15th 2022 in the front lawn, and it was BEAUTIFUL. All of the workers were amazing and extremely helpful. Our day went so smooth because of them. I LOVED Amy who was our coordinator for the day. She made sure everything was perfect and pulled us aside during cocktail hour to make sure we had a little snack, and to see the ball room. I even had to do a last minute change up the day of, do to a bridesmaid not attending, luckily I already had a back up plan, and Amy did an amazing job helping me with that plan. The food was amazing, the bartender was so sweet and made great drinks, and I loved the DJ, very interactive. The phot booth was a hit. People still talk about our wedding and how much fun they had. Now about Wedgewood, they have so many bundle options to pick from, and what I loved best is it was basically a one stop shop. You are even able to take off what ever it is that you did not want or need in your bundle, for example I did my own invitations so I took the invitations off and added something else. I can keep saying so many positive things about them. I would 100% highly recommend Wedgewood.
It's unfortunate I have to write this review but this venue made one of the best days of my life into a memory I don't think fondly of.
First, the coordinator that we spent a year planning our wedding with was NOT the coordinator that worked our wedding and that ultimately ruined our wedding.
I spent so much money on an audio guestbook that was never set up, personalized coloring books that were not set out, meaningful decor that was not set up correctly. The coordinator was rude to me, my family and friends.
Our cake was never set up with the cake topper and florals, so it was just a plain white cake despite telling the coordinator about every plan (written instructions). The cake was DROPPED and ruined while transferring from cake stand to cake plate. And the venue never saved a piece of cake for us to take home like we asked so we lose out on that tradition.
There was so much that went wrong that day. The manager refunded us $1500 for the discrepancies. However, after spending $20-25K on a wedding that was ruined, $1500 is a slap in the face. This wasn't just a "oh, sorry we messed up", you ruined a day we look forward to our whole lives and a day we will be forced to look back on for the rest of our lives. $1500 does not fix the fact that our entire wedding was ruined and we regret going with this venue and now I have to grieve and process not being able to have a wedding that I enjoyed...I would not recommend this place.
