My name is Eric Valdez and my experience with Serena Whyte and representing my 83-year-old parents in the sale of their home was like no other. Being in the mortgage business for years and years I feel like my opinion here brings a lot of value. I think it’s worth noting that I live in Ohio, and my parents live in California. When I first spoke with Serena over the phone about representing my parents I had no idea that she was so far from them geographically. I didn’t realize that she was almost 2 hours away from them but without hesitation she took on the opportunity to serve them like she would serve a local family in her own area. It should also be noted that the price of my mother‘s home was about a third of what she normally dealt with which should mean to anybody reading this that she automatically knew she would receive a third of the commissions do a real estate agent. But what I noticed and experienced, in my opinion, unheard of especially in this day and age of real estate transactions taking place so quickly. She never once tried to do anything over the phone, on a zoom call, or by sending somebody else… She drove back-and-forth every single time something needed to be done. Every time she spoke to my parents she would personally call me so that I knew every step of the way exactly what was taking place with my parents so that I was always in the loop of what was happening and decisions that needed to be made. It’s been said that the most successful people in their industries not only do what’s expected… But do what’s unexpected. And that it’s The unexpected that takes you to the next level and set you apart from your counterparts. Serena did everything that was unexpected. She would call my mother just to check in on her to see how she was feeling about everything, making sure that she wasn’t working too hard and packing at her age, she would check on my father who was having some medical issues… Just to see how he was doing. She called me out of the blue when it came time to pack up their home and she offered to personally come down and help me and help my parents so that it could go a little smoother and set if I needed help that she had a few people that she could recommend. The transaction now has been completed for over a month and yet she has reached out on three separate occasions just to see how my mom and dad are doing and to make sure that they’re acclimating well to Ohio. Who does that? Oh, Serena Whyte does. She does it because being a real estate agent to her is more than just a commission, a paycheck, a way to pay the bills and take care of her family. She treats her clients as if they were her own parents, her own brothers and sisters, and her own children. Words cannot begin to describe the feelings of gratitude that I have for Serena and her team and for what they took care of an accomplice for my ailing parents. Thank you Serena, you have been a blessing to me and my family and I know without a doubt you’ve been a blessing to every single client you’ve ever taken care of… thank you.
