I arrived on a whim, no appointment, looking to have my nails done. I get the "dip" colored nails. They got me in immediately and the gal did excellent work. No complaints there. However, I probably won't be back. I feel there's a lot they could do to improve this salon and increase their return clientele. I've had my nails done at a lot of places through the years. The "experience" needs some work. Every other salon I've been to has them beat because they have music playing of some sort, making it more relaxing. Other places always offer me a beverage (water, hot tea, or a soda, even a mimosa at some places.) I never realized how much I appreciate the cushioned wrist rest, until I went here and there wasn't one. Aesthetically, it felt closed in. There were 4 chandeliers hanging so low, you could walk into them, literally. They could raise them up about 2 feet and open the room up. The decor was sort of blah. Lots of brown everywhere. There was a TV playing an episode of Tia and Tamara (90's TV show) with no sound. Not exactly my preferred entertainment. Other places usually have images of nature streaming on a big screen, or a cooking show. Something better than what this place had going on. The silence was deafening, as was the conversation. The staff was impersonable. The only thing my nail gal said was, "What color?" Language barrier, perhaps, but not even a smile. Ask me my name, if I have kids, how was my holiday? —SOMETHING. Anyway....Like I said, I'm happy with how my nails look but the experience was severely lacking. And there's so much they could do with little effort to earn my repeat business. Oh —and it was SO warm in there! Turn on the AC, crack the door a little. Really uncomfortable. The price was good, what I pay at my 2 other usual salons I go to. I don't usually write reviews, but here ya go.
