Was just going to do a cursory pass-through... ended up spending nearly THREE hours at the fascinating frontier displays of early pioneer life. Super cool, I especially liked the press/newspaper cabin with the antique presses, type blocks and plates. Also fascinating were the doctor's office, school room, dress-maker's, farm and manufacturing equipment, transportation, general store and massive rifle/gun display. Can't wait to go back and check it out further someday

We spent over an hour here and the place wasn’t even open! You can still walk around to check out different buildings, mining and farming equipment, just can’t go inside the buildings. There is so much history and so much reading material. We didn’t even get to the other side of the museum. We want to come back to Winthrop and come back to this place when it’s fully open.

This place was really fun. Had to convince my 15 yr old but she left saying how good it was. No fee but a donation is suggested. $5.
Preserved cabins and artifacts representing local history and industry. We were too late for a tour today but will come back if we are in the area to participate in one.
Well worth a stop.
