I had the pleasure of working with Shelley to do both a color consultation and then a closet purge and I really enjoyed the experience. Shelley was very thorough and professional and not only gave me the information but explained why this was specific to me. This has helped me feel more confident in my choices of clothing, makeup and overall style as I add to what was purged away. I consider myself a curvy girl and was a little hesitant at first because my body type is different than Shelley. It was an unnecessary concern as Shelley has experience and knowledge in working with so many people that she has helped me to look and feel my best. This was one of the best birthday gifts I have ever received.
After an airline lost my luggage on my first oversees trip since having a baby, I found myself desperately shopping for clothes in a foreign country and for a different body that I did not know how to dress. Let's just say there were a lot of tears involved. That was my sign.
Shelley came highly recommended by a former colleague and so I contacted her for help revamping my look post-partum and post-COVID. I was finding that I no longer fit in to most of my pre-baby clothes and with a return-to-office date approaching, I needed a lot of help. Shelley is an absolute EXPERT in what she does. From the color consultation to the shopping to the put-it-together coaching, she made my revamp totally FUN and educational (which is miles from where I started: depressed and lost).
Shelley has an excellent eye for color and composition. She is up to date on current trends but knows how to work with and around them to find what suits her clients best. She also knows when to push a little and when to back down, which can be a tricky thing to balance.
The wardrobe Shelley helped me craft is absolutely beautiful and I feel GREAT wearing all of the pieces. I can happily report that my confidence in shopping has skyrocketed, and I actually look forward to doing it now being armed with the knowledge of what looks good on me.

I had the good fortune to work with Shelley as my image consultant as I prepared to speak at TEDx Pleasanton earlier this month. Shelley was highly responsive to my initial outreach and we scheduled time to speak right away. She was easy to work with and gave me great advice on how to select a look that was modern yet within my comfort zone, and contrasted well with the TEDx stage and lighting. For example, adding black pearl buttons to my usual white formal shirt, wearing steel grey fitted jeans instead of usual formal black/blue trousers, and splurging on medium brown shoes with a toe fade and a matching brown belt instead of falling back on my usual black ones. She then got the shirt and jeans custom made for me, and worked with me to do the measurements on Zoom as I could not visit her in person due to an unexpected overseas trip. On the day of the TEDx event, Shelley was by my side, making sure I looked my best (e.g. using double sticky tape to hold my collar and belt in place). Her kindness and attention to detail gave me that extra boost of confidence I needed, and I was able to focus 100% on delivering my message on the TEDx stage. Last but not least, she has offered to redo my outfit for free because the measurements were slightly off! Thank you Shelley, for your professionalism, warmth and support throughout this process.
