Great outerwear, waterproof (naturally), intelligently designed features, durable and well made. They stand behind their products. The staff at the warehouse/showroom is very helpful and easy to work.
I have been wearing Showers Pass for year-round bike commuting in Portland rain for 8 years. My first jacket was good for 6 years, and still functions. I finally updated last year. Crosspoint knit gloves are multi-use: biking, hiking, running, and they even make great driving gloves.
By coincidence I ended up at the corporate headquarters on a recent trip from Seattle. I was pleasantly surprised by the cordial and helpful attention I received at a non-retail location. Several staff assisted me from their warehouse with the lineup of jackets. I discovered my showers pass jacket had been discontinued 5 or 6 years ago. The jacket is a testimony to outstanding quality. I had over 45,000 miles of fall, winter, and spring rainy rides. My typical ride averages 70-100 miles 3-4 times per week. During the five to six hour rides I was kept comfortably dry! I was faced with deciding on a new jacket. If the Spring jacket would have had one front pocket it would have been my first choice. I selected the elite model (several pockets) which was comparable to my old discontinued jacket. I have ridden about 500 miles in the heavy rain. The jacket is dry and comfortable.
My shorter version of the story: Why buy any other jacket than Showers Pass? The staff are real people and the product is awesome.
