This hotel was chosen as a wedding venue for my daughter and it was a mixed experience that this review will detail. First the good. The hotel is beautiful and immaculate in style and cleanliness. The room staff was helpful, never in the way and was never detected in the morning hours. Nice for a wedding party. The views from the waterside were awesome with some of our rooms catching a glimpse of Mount Rainier. The bar/restaurant is sharp and modern and all meals there were top quality. There is a pool and a whirlpool on the 5th floor that was excellent. The hotel is located near a pedestrian mall with a variety of dining and shopping. There is a splash pad next door and a pedestrian walkway that fronts Pueget Sound for family activity. The not so great. While the front desk was largely helpful in most cases we were stiffed on someone bringing up 2 luggage carriers for us to check out at a time when it was not busy in the hotel. They had done it for us to move the wedding supplies to the event area but morning of check out we were told: "We don't provide that service." There is no room service for in room dining. The on staff wedding coordinator we were required to hire was absent during our event and was not helpful in any way. She did virtually nothing for the fee we paid for her services. But I will give a huge shout out for the kitchen manager that prepared a 4 star meal for our event, superb. Overall, great as a destination hotel, not so much for a special event like a wedding.
