Very scenic place so close to portland. The roads are very primitive and a 4x4 is recommended.

Very nice place. Trails are nice amd maintained. We did a morning sunrise hike and it turned out very nice. I wouldn't say its crazy difficult but its over 2 miles one way. If you are interested in a sunrise hike, start hiking around 3am for summer and 4am for fall. We did get see deer and a white mountain goat. Heard several coyotes and crossed bear poop, plenty of wildlife. Stay on trails there are sharp steep cliffs with loose rocks. On clear days there is views of 5 mtn tops. Enjoy!

So beautiful! I will be back over and over again. Trail is rocky but well maintained. You can tell the people who visit respect this place a lot more than other parks.
