Whenever I visit my Dad at Silverado, I usually go during activity time. They have a monthly calendar of activities organized daily and posted for residents to participate in. Mitchell, the Activities coordinator, puts a lot of passion and thoughtfulness into the activities he coordinates for the residents. He goes above and beyond to make their ADL’s special and also challenges them physically and cognitively specifically to their individual needs. They have daily baking classes, history lessons, cultural activities, flower arrangements classes, field trip outings, and many other wonderful special activities to help keep residents engaged. They do daily physical exercises and also have music classes. The quality of the activities is evident through the staff engagement and it’s rare to find a place that offers so much to their residents.

As the sister of a client at Silverado, Bellevue, I have the privilege of “living” there vicariously each day by speaking from California with my brother! Every day is a celebration for him- not only is he involved is a multitude of activities challenging his five senses but through it all, he seems to be a happy, enthusiastic and thoughtful person! In some cases, he is experiencing activities he has never had in all of his 87 years! Thank you, Silverado! You are second to none!

It is highly recommended that your loved one stay. Mitchell, the enrichment program director, is amazing. The chef and team serve great meals. The entire department, including administrator Ken, welcomes you. A place that welcomes kids and pets. I feel right at home working here.
