Both of my kids have been going to Dr. Stein's office for years and ours experiences have been nothing but positive.
Before that we went to pediatrics in a large medical center where we always felt our kids were treated like on a conveyor belt and we couldn't get individual attention or care that we wanted.
Dr. Stein’s practice stands out for its personal touch and attentive care. We would always get the answers, additional testing was ordered and done as necessary, kids like the doctor and have always felt like the doctor remembers them their past conversations. As our kids have been going through their adolescence, Dr. Stein was also a source of great help and advice for the kids on nutrition, fitness and so on.
I definitely recommend this doctor and I'm glad that we were referred to this office by friends years ago.
The doctor is great, but the staff sucks very poor management. My baby was due for her first vaccine, when we went to the clinic the nurse says they dont have the PCV vaccine. We dint mind it because these things happen but they said it will come next week and the staff will give us a call. We never got a call and I had to follow through everyday and when I was irritated with them they asked me which insurance and then they said ‘oh for UHG it is available’ I dnt understand what that meant.
Second time doctor said that the baby needs ultrasound, I waited that day for the staff to send the fax. When I called Stanford ultrasound they said they never received it. I followed up again and that day I called Stein’s office thrice. I was able to talk to them 3rd time. But, still the FAX was not received by the Stanford’s office. Today, I am calling again and coordinating the ultrasound FAX. I am not sure why this keeps happening.
