My mattress also has a strong chemical odor. I believe it actually made me sick with sore throat and cough. I also complained and was told that there can be nothing coming from the bed. Something is wrong

bought a plush pillow top mattress california king from Hamptons furniture in The Dalles, Oregon, and when I took the plastic off of it, it smelled real strong like mildew. I have talked to the woman that sold it to me numerous times and she keeps telling me that is the new smell. It isn't as strong but I can still smell it. I paid $1800.00 for it and I am beyond unhappy about. It says it was manufactured 04/06/15. We bought it on 3/28/15. What is going on with this? Am I going to be stuck with a stinky mattress forever? Bought out king simmons back in 2010, they have a 10 yr warranty. mattress sags 1.5 inches in 4 spots. Simmions will not honor their warranty even though the specs meet the guidelines for replacement. Best advice is find a mattress company that does honor its warranties !
