This was my first time coming here it was nice and clean a little bit more in price than I thought but still was a great trip. BTW you will love smelling all the food they cook in the deli 😋

Every time I've drove through Mt. non I've stopped here to get a piece of German Chocolate cake. They used to have a nice section of cakes and pastries. The German Chocolate cake was the best in the area and on display in a full sheet cut into slices. Now the slices are half the size and individually packaged in plastic containers. The cake was dry and the topping was not the same quality. What a disappointment changing something that used to be so good and worth the stop. The additional 30 minutes to sidetrack was not worth it. I got a $12.99 pulled pork sandwhich from the deli and half of it was dried out to a crisp and inedible. It's time to scratch this off my go to places to grab a bite in Mt. Vernon.

One of my favorite places on earth! The smell of the store is earthy and herbal and so nostalgic to me. I love their deli, their produce section, and the people that work here! The upstairs market is a wonderful trove of treasures like stickers, jewlery, other cute odds and ends. It does get pretty crowded in the downstairs area though during peak hours. Make sure to bring your own bags, too!
