This review is long overdue, but I’ve been too busy walking around with my head held high, showing off my rejuvenated face, to take a moment and share how incredible Anusha and everyone at Skin Specifics are. But now, it’s time.
I first heard about Anusha at a party, from a woman who works for one of the major pharmaceutical injection companies. When I asked who the best in LA was, she didn’t hesitate: Anusha at Skin Specifics. Well, who wouldn’t want the best? I called the very next Monday and spoke with Theresa, who was just lovely! I was lucky enough to get an appointment with Anusha within three weeks—no time at all.
I visit the La Cañada location, where Anusha works her magic. She has this serene, calming energy, almost like Isabella Rossellini in Death Becomes Her, ready to offer you the fountain of youth. Before finding Anusha, I’d been going to a place that assigned me a different injector every time, and I started to hate how I looked. But Anusha, with her expert eye, took one look at me and said, “All you need is XYZ.” She’s so judicious with her injecting, never overdoing it.
What I love most about Anusha is her focus on skin. She’ll inject if you want, but she’s more interested in giving you beautiful, healthy skin. And she’s right—anyone can get Botox, but why not age gracefully with gorgeous skin? Within a month of seeing her, my skin transformed—the texture, the tone, everything. I looked younger because my skin looked brand new. Sure, it’s great that the triangle of sadness is gone, but what’s even better is not having to wear foundation anymore!
When I went back three months later, as I usually do to keep up, Anusha looked at me and said, “You don’t need anything right now.
