This thank you is a long time coming, however Blake was absolutely INCREDIBLE during our wedding week and engagement shoot! Blake has such a knack for making everyone feel at ease and capturing the most special moments of our most special day.
Especially with intimate moments, it is extremely difficult to feel comfortable with a camera pointing directly at you. From the second we met Blake, all our nerves and anxiety washed away as he helped us seamlessly sink into the scenery. The best way to describe Blake is being ever present with his calm demeanor, but completely invisible when capturing our most raw, genuine moments. That balance of energy and fluidity is hard to come by!
His ability to naturally blend in with the festivities, fully embrace our culture, and be everywhere at all times made sure we’ll be able to relive our cherished memories for a lifetime. SLOtography. Blake. Engagement session. Wedding photos of our dreams. Where do we start??
First, we went with SLOtography because of the website and our first interaction/phone call with Blake. The photos on the website had the aesthetic that we were looking for, something about the photos just so captured the enamored couples – and the floral-woodsy-winery-Central-California vibe was precisely what we were looking for. When we spoke to Blake, we told him our apprehension of taking photos as a couple, and preserving these memories were important to us but we weren’t really the photogenic type. He reassured us and walked us through his process of approaching photography and his way of working with each couple.
Blake was easily reachable and openly communicated with us as we got ready for our marriage. He gave quick turn-arounds to photos and sneak peaks of all the photos-to-come. He had genuine excitement for us and made sure that we were posed and proper in all the photos. He suggested our videographer to us, Chelsea at Stories Told By Film, who was AMAZING. She and Blake synced up perfectly and made our dream an unforgettable film and photo reality!
