My dad loves to shop at Grocery Outlet. I talked him into checking out S&F today, it’s much closer for us. After perusing the store he said “the prices are outrageous here.” When we checked out there was 1 checker. She was busy looking at pics on a co-workers phone who was coming through her line. So much that the store Mgr told her she didn’t call for back-up checkers in time. He offered to take us but we already had unloaded all of our groceries on the belt. So we stuck it out. We were in line for 20+ minutes as the clerk needed a plu for a produce item, talked etc. My dad said to me as we walked to the car “we are never coming back here.” Then we went to Grocery Outlet, where the prices & customer service, we’re better. I do think S&F has a good manager though. Just seems to be a chain wide philosophy to make people wait in huge lines.
