This place is awesome. If you communicate with them and make sure they know exactly what your situation is then it’s the place to get serviced! James runs his shop and he is a personable and very helpful worker!! I got caught in a jam with my car battery dying and he took personal time out of his day to walk me through the steps to get my car too his shop and not only fixed me car but helped me with how I won’t get a violation the next time my car battery dies!!! Great place with great workers!
My friend went here in the morning to deal with an undeserved lockout. She was seen promptly and the issue was dealt with and the technician agreed that the lockout was indeed not her fault. She was happy that there would be no charge to her. The tech was pleasant and worked efficiently.
The only gripe that could be voiced was when we tried to ask a usability question regarding the equipment. It truly seemed that the tech was baffled by the query. I thought that was understandable given the farct that he is not an actual user of the interlock system. He is, however, a user of the diagnostic system.
It appeared he may have felt compelled to give some kind of an answer. He nervously blurted out a suggestion that I already knew to be incorrect. Then he took another stab at it and it was obvious that, by this time, he was grasping at straws.
So I think he should have offered to try to find out the answer for us and contacted us later with it. He also could have referred us to a supervisor or someone else who was more familiar with the system. There would have been no shame in confessing that he didn't know the answer.
The people here are AMAZING. So kind, so helpful and they treat you with respect. Every interaction I have had with them has been great!! They go above and beyond to be accommodating and work with you.
The corporate office of Smart Start is miserable to deal with, and are rude and very unhelpful. But the actual staff you interact with monthly at this location is awesome 🙂
