Smittys is an awesome local barbecue place. I would suggest it to anyone and do suggest it to people I know. The staff is very welcoming and kind. The food is delicious. You must try the Tuesday special and the Friday special they are both amazing as well as everything else I’ve had there. I live out of town and make it a point to stop by every time I’m in North Bakersfield.

First timer...cashier recommended pulled pork over the tritip sandwich and honestly, it was probably the best pulled pork I've had in a while. A bit pricey but what hasn't gotten more expensive lately.. Definitely recommend 👌🏽

Huge shoutout to Smittys. I was handed the task of preparing everything for our Christmas meal but wasn’t physically up to it. After much searching, we snagged the last spot for one of Smitty’s smoked turkeys. It was AMAZING. It was ready at the exact time we requested. It was reasonably priced but the incredible thing was the taste. It filled our house with such a good smell and had smoke taste all the way through. They even stuffed the cavity with onions and garlic.Thsnk you, Smitty’s!!
