Rick and Michelle were wonderful to work with. I inquired regarding the available puppies over a period of time. They were always wiling to answer my questions and discuss the breed. I finally decided to include a Shadow Valley Kennel puppy in my family. I arrange to visit several days in advance on Friday December 23rd. When the day arrived there was a severe weather watch in Washington due to freezing rain. Roads were being shut down. I pressed on from Sequim to the kennel. Once I arrived they greeted me warmly even though the day was not ideal to be trekking through the kennels. I decided to adopt our little Sadie. A little Tr-Color princess. Rick and Michelle spent several hours with me discussing the new puppies needs and my expectations. Sadie was 10.5 weeks old when she came home with me. To my surprise she was well on her way in Potty training. She voluntarily crates in the evening and sleeps 7 hours before she is ready to face the new day. She is by far the most advanced and lovable puppy I have ever had. It speaks volumes to how she was treated and cared for. She was obviously a part of the Shannon family before she became a part of mine. I would recommend Smokey Valley Kennel to anyone seeking a quality dog with a family upbringing and temperament.
