Whoever answered lied to me. I called asking about which county to file a name change petition and she told me that it doesnt matter and that you can do it at any court in washington. THIS IS A LIE. Every county court website states that it MUST be done in the county in which you reside. What a horrible misinformation so intentionally give!

Presiding judge very forgiving and willing to help those who help themselves. If you show up as if you just rolled out of bed and are unprepared, don't expect the court to acquiesce to your time. However, if you actually have a relatable reason, this court's ok by my standards.

I gave respect and respect was given. Ultimately, if your not happy with your treatment there, don’t break the law. That said, I did break the law, I own that. I appreciate the professionalism of all the staff I encountered and certainly the fairness of the judge who was receptive to my situation.
