I recently received a letter from the HOA informing me that I had to remove and trim some trees. I had no idea who did this type of work and reached out on a local community forum for recommendations, from which I received several. I am so happy that in the process I discovered So Cal Tree Specialist. The owner of the company, Jaime Gutierrez, is personable and easy to work with. He timely provided a detailed quote that was reasonable compared to others received for the job. Jaime and his team were able to tackle the tree removal and replanting with the utmost professionalism and courtesy. One of the trees removed had a large, stubborn stump that could not be immediately removed because of how invasive the roots were. Jaime guided me though what to do to prepare the stump so that we could get rid of the root system once and for all. Jaime executed the removal of two trees - one of which was quite large - with deft precision. I was stunned at how quickly and efficiently he was able to climb the tree and remove the upper branches before chopping the rest of it down. He performed this part of the job single-handedly, while the rest of his team hauled away what was left (and it was a lot). Jaime also told me about a great nursery in Wine Country called T and D Nursery (highly recommended) and also suggestions for how to get the ground prepared for the new trees and also how to get my sad looking grass to look good again. Jaime went above and beyond and also trimmed some trees for me. He did this without first asking because the limbs were dying and he knew it needed to be done. Jaime did not charge me for this. Jaime and his team are hard working and decent, they offer reasonable prices and do excellent work. I highly recommend So Cal Tree Specialist.
