We had a great experience working with Solar Earth Choice! After being ghosted (and even lied to) by multiple other solar companies it was incredibly refreshing to work with Sophia and the team, who were super responsive, transparent, knowledgeable, and patient. We were worried about not getting in before the NEM 3.0 deadline but Sophia & team handled getting all permits & applications submitted correctly & approved without any errors or delays. Even though we had a pretty large install they still managed to get it all done ahead of schedule and without any complications. Inspections & approvals were a breeze. Sophia and the entire team were so pleasant to work with, and they really made us feel well informed at all stages of the process.

We're very happy with our solar installation – both the results and the entire process.
As background, we were originally going to go with a larger national solar company, like the ones they set you up with at Costco. But then we talked to our general contractor from a prior home renovation and he recommended Solar Earth Choice.
First off, going with a smaller local outfit had its advantages in terms of customer service. In fact, that part stood out the most. Sophia responded to every question we had within minutes. She was also very proactive in guiding us through the process of inspections, approvals, and all of the other municipal and administrative aspects of going solar. She made it easy and had a real presence and personal touch throughout the process.
And in the unlikely case that anything ever goes wrong, we know who to call and who is going to pick up the phone. I've heard that the same can't be said for those larger national companies.
As for the work itself, that was also quite proficient, as Solar Earth Choice has a solid crew, as well as subcontractors for electrical work.
All in all, it was a very positive experience and we'd recommend the company to anyone.
Solar Earth Choice was the 2nd solar company I have hired, but probably the 6th I have dealt with. They came highly recommended. I had them install an 8kW system in Palm Desert. Their prices are very competitive, even for the extra work. They also upgraded my electrical panel. The installation was done quickly, and signed off by the city. Sophia works hard and communicates all along the process, there were no surprises, and any potential issues they identified were brought up early and discussed.
I would definitely recommend them as they are doing a 2nd job for my family in orange county.
