Our recent visit to Sonic Drive-In was quite a frustrating experience. We arrived at 8:30 PM and pressed the service button, expecting the usual prompt service. However, it took 15 minutes for someone to respond through the microphone, only to inform us that car service was done for the day.
Determined to get our order, we decided to use the app, which indicated that our order would be ready by 9:15 PM. As 9:30 PM rolled around, the order disappeared from the display, and we were still waiting. We decided to go through the drive-thru, where we were told to wait at our car because there was only one person working.
Finally, at 9:45 PM, someone walked up with our order. All we had ordered was ice cream, and it took an hour and 15 minutes to receive it. This was incredibly disappointing and not the level of service we expected.
Given this experience, we won't be returning to this Sonic location. The long wait time and lack of communication were unacceptable, especially for something as simple as ice cream.
