Me and my girl have decided to start coming here on at least a few times a month for a few hours because its close to where I live and is dog friendly. The trails are nice but we really just like to enjoy the water for the most part. The only things I dislike is the fact that a lot of people think its acceptable to approach our dogs with their dogs off their leash (there are signs clearly posted around about keeping your dog on a leash and with animals you never truly know how your interaction will be) the litter which pretty much stays under control, but again, a careless people problem and the fact that all the rocks in the river are very slippery but thats just nature for you.
The water is VERY cold even in the summer, but your dogs will love it and its the perfect place for get-togethers if you get a secluded spot and people decide to be considerate and leave your area alone.
