Soundview changed my life - no seriously not joking about that! As an independant contractor I didn't have the luxury of L&I taking care of me. I needed results that would allow me to work without being in crippling pain and I wasn't getting them elsewhere. I needed my results fast, and I'm not going to lie - I was getting desperate!
I did who knows what to my lower back during the work day three months before seeing Daryll at Soundview. I had experienced this pain years prior and sought out a chiropractor in Tacoma to help, much the same as I did some years ago. Unlike before, the chiropractor wasn't making any headway. I was in agony (like crying hysterically agony - which made it hurt worse - which made me cry harder... such a vicious cycle) on an almost daily basis. I was always on pain killers and still in pain! I repeatedly asked the chiropractor if there was anything I could do to further my progress, stretches and such. I was always told that I was "too flexible" for stretches to do any good. I went to the chiropractor for almost three months, as well as a massage therapist for three weeks, before giving up and admitting it wasn't going to get better. So I sought out a physical therapist.
After my first visit with Daryll I'm not going to lie, I was in pain still, and a lot of it. I was nervous going back. My insurance doesn't cover physical therapy or chiropractic and I was already in the hole well over $2,000 for what? Well, I went back to Daryll and thought, "I'll give it two more appointments, I gave the chiropractor ten weeks I can at least give the physical therapist two weeks, right?"
Well, that did the trick. I went to Daryll less than a month and I feel as well as I did before all of this happened. He showed me some (gasp) stretches that helped my progress, and explained that even if I don't feel a stretch, it still opens up the spine and gives relief. Imagine that...
Thank you, Daryll, for being flexible with my work schedule, for being patient and understanding, for explaining things to me without being anything but helpful, and for giving me my life back!
