Amazing views sunsets are stellar. There were sea otters out feeding in the sea I could see from our camp site. It was cool watching the surfers also. No running water. Bathroom has flushing toilets but no sinks, but they are clean and has hand sanitizer on the door. We will be back and bring the family next time.

Loved our stay here in August 2023. FCFS so get here early to snag a spot. Make friends with folks in the beachfront spots so if they’re leaving the next day you can put chairs in their spot and move as soon as they leave 😉. It’s known as the South Beach Shuffle. 😄.
Bathrooms were clean enough and we really enjoyed walking on the beach every day. Coulda stayed forever. ☺️

One of my favorite campgrounds in the NPS. I'm 70' from the ocean, with the sound of waves all night long. As stated by many, there is no water, but Kalaloch CG is a mere 5 minutes away and you can fill up and dump there. Unlike Kalaloch, there are over a dozen sites directly over the ocean and all of the sites are ocean view. We came the Monday before the 4th (so on the 1st) and got our choice of about a dozen sites at noon. By the next day, there was 1-2 sites, and there was even a random person left on the 3rd. But by far, get here early in the day and several days before any major holiday if you want to stay. We had reservations at Mora, but who are we kidding -- the kids fell in love with beaches and waves, compared to dark rainy forest. On top of it, for mom and dad, there is ATT & verizon signals and Starlink works great. The hosts were very knowledgeable, they've been coming to this campground for 30 years. We learned that there were sinks in the restroom the first season after the flush toliets were put in, but they had to remove them within weeks because fisherman were cleaning their catches in the bathroom -- gross -- so blame the lack of sinks on the inconsideration of other past campers and not the NPS. Its about an hour to Hoh, Queet lake, and Forks. So, you can hit most of the major west side attractions from here. Finally, yes, its a glorified gravel parking lot, but the hosts were very attentive to the CG, and most of the in/out traffic was due to being the 4th week, and so many FF in/out looking for a site despite the "FULL" sign.
