I’m a 70 yr old Female, some of these beautiful brave men and a gorgeous sweet female saved my life last week. My sugar had gotten critically low and my son called 911. I really was sinking quickly and barely awake when I came around and I immediately felt loved and supported and knew instantly that we had bonded. They were fabulous and I am very, very grateful to such an amazing group of Human Beings. Thank you, Pamela Alexander
At 11 PM on Sunday May 19, 2024, I could’ve lost my life and the life of my unborn baby due to the neglect of these firemen. I called 911 due to sudden onset of bleeding. I’m 28 weeks pregnant.
They arrived and slowly made their way to our townhouse while I bled onto our bedroom floor, waiting for them to arrive and transport me to the nearest hospital.
They spent 20 minutes trying to get a blood pressure on me and I kept begging them to take me in. They told me I’m fine, my vitals are fine and I’m not pooling blood so I won’t die.
I tried to explain that I have Full Placenta Previa and Suspected Accreta. This is where the placenta attached to a prior c section scar and can cause spontaneous rupture, causing immediate need for blood transfusions and death if not treated properly. Previa, while ok one moment, may hemorrhage at any time, especially during a bleed.
No ambulance arrived to transport until 11:40 PM - 35 minutes after. If this turned into a hemorrhage, I would’ve already been dead. A one year old baby and a father would’ve been left without their 26 year old mom and wife because YOU didn’t transport me. YOU didn’t listen. My a miracle, I’m here and my unborn son is still alive.
You make me SICK. Just thinking of laying on my bedroom floor, blood down to my toes, half naked with no coverage, while you irritated and slow fire department failed to transport a bleeding mother to the hospital. It took an hour from from call to arrival.
You’d be sued out of your ever living minds by my family had something catastrophic happened and next time I call, you better be prepared because it’s expected that I’m going to bleed again.
