We first reached out to Ms. Natasha at Speech Waves about a year ago, when my daughter was approaching three years old and speaking mainly through echoing. That was also around the time she was formally diagnosed with autism. They met once a week for 45 minutes, which was just about the right amount of time for my daughter. My daughter looked forward to the sessions, which (to her) were mainly chances to play with new toys and an attentive adult.
Flash forward a year, and my daughter has officially "graduated" from speech therapy. The progress she has made over the past year has been tremendous. When she started she couldn't/wouldn't even answer a simple "yes/no" question. Now she is speaking in full sentences, telling stories, and delighting us with surprising thoughts. By Ms. Natasha's estimates, she's basically caught back up with her age group, which is amazing.
