Always on the lookout for places to view nature, from wildlife to landscapes. I’ve often wondered what the lowland area, to the north of the trestle bridge out of Everett had to offer.
Today, I finally found out. After meandering through the industrial land on the north end of Everett, I made it to the subtle and small parking area, about a half mile to the west of Spencer Island. I walked the trail to the north of the bridge and was super impressed with how much I saw in such a short time. Bald Eagles, a Heron and two migrating Tundra Swans that flew overhead. Not to mention, the fresh powder on the mountains closest to the city, Pilchuck and Three Fingers. Views were astounding for this preserve.
I will inevitably be back, I think I’ve found a new favorite place. My only reason for docking a star, is the parking area is a little sus. I’d make sure you don’t leave any valuables in sight.
