I was referred to Clayton Spencer Law Firm by another attorney who told me that Clayton is the BEST. I was having a horrific time with my current attorney and am so grateful that I terminated her and hired Jill and Clayton. Working with Clayton and Jill was night and day compared to my previous attorney and her firm. Clayton always provided thorough explanations and he kindly laid out the pros and cons of the actions that needed to be taken each step of the way. He took the time to carefully listen to my concerns so that I never felt disregarded. He and Jill provided guidance and were empathetic and kind, yet moved the process along quickly and so, so, so, cost efficiently. A child support calculation and motion that took my previous counsel’s firm at least 6 weeks to draft took Jill about 20 minutes. When opposing counsel didn’t respond to requests or phone calls, as was typical, Clayton politely emailed every single day until he received a response. I felt that Clayton and Jill truly wanted what was best for me and my son, while making sure that the settlement was fair for both parties. I highly recommend this dynamic duo because they ARE the best!

I found Clayton by watching how he conducted himself in a Zoom hearing while I was waiting for my case to be called. I had two previous attorney's prior to him who I felt were not aggressive enough and did not move the case forward in a timely fashion. I knew I had made the right choice after my initial consultation with him. Jill and Clayton are a two person shop who are readily available & communicative. Having that one on one relationship throughout my case was invaluable. Working with Clayton and Jill was night and day compared to my previous 2 attorney's. Clayton was very thorough & detailed in his analysis & explanations. He was honest and weighed all the pros and cons for me to make decisions on how to proceed. He truly felt like a partner in this process and listened to my concerns before we made decisions each step of the way. He was very cost effective and I never felt like I was just getting "billed" for him to make $ along the way. I had a very difficult ex and contentious case. Clayton handled my (unrepresented) ex perfectly so as not to create a David v. Goliath situation in the courts eyes. Keep in mind, she also had gone through 2 previous attorneys but chose to remain unrepresented for the remaining 14 months of our case. Clayton accomplished more in the 8 months he was involved than my prior 2 attorneys ever did in the 16 months they had the case. I wish I had found him from the get go. I absolutely believe Clayton and Jill truly wanted what was best for me and my daughter, without being unfair to my ex and following the rules of the court. I highly recommend this team and would talk to them first if you are in need of family law counsel.

I, like many, had to deal with a difficult divorce. My divorce blind sided me and came with a myriad of difficult situations. Additionally there were so many “games” being played and Clayton was on top of everything. I consulted 7 attorneys before deciding to go with Clayton after just one phone call. He and Jill are a dream team. It’s hard to know who to trust, what to do, how this all works years down the line in a divorce but Clayton walked me through every step in a way that I could understand. No matter what was happening, Clayton and Jill kept me up to date, gave me accurate real time information and helped me protect my best interests. Ethical, intelligent and genius.
