Andrea Mowry's " Nightshift" pattern uses Spincycle Yarn which is how I was introduced to Spincycle Yarn. This yarn is very unique. Excitingly unique. It's easy to understand the pricing due to the way the stands are so perfectly twisted using individual colors. I'm certain this takes extra time and work to produce such a unique yarn. The composition of this yarn delivers an unique texture, it's just gorgeous! The skeins not only have different colored stands twisted together but each stand makes gradual color changes. In my opinion, I don't see how Nightshift pattern could be replicated without Spincycle Yarn, It's that unique. The possibilities of creating beautiful striking and creative projects are endless! The 6 color skeins Andrea used for Nightshift are not all available. At random I picked 6 skeins and my Nightshift Shawl is just as beautiful as the original. Worth every penny. Very fast delivery.

Really wanted to like this yarn as the colors are so beautiful... items received vary too drastically to be considered an expected normal variation of color. For the price, there really should be more consistency in the the concentration of color. Plus, the yarn is very roughly woven and inconsistent from skein to skein of the same yarn weight. Unfortunately, I don’t think I can justify the price for the quality.
