This is a wonderful bookstore! The staff is very helpful, knowledgeable and engaging. It is a great place for people who love to read. You should stop by and experience it for yourself.

Spoke & Word Books is such a lovely addition to downtown Milwaukie! The space is colorful, vibrant, stylish, quaint, and welcoming. The owners are always such a delight to speak with, the employees are all highly knowledgeable and friendly. Great variety of new, used, and vintage books along with local goods. I try to stop by at least once a week to see what new items they have in stock. Love that I can be added to an alert list for whenever certain used books come in along with the ability to request that they order specific books. The queer literature section and mushroom/woodsy goods make my heart swoon ❤️ I am super excited that they are planning to start hosting some book events/meetups soon as well. I adore everything about this little bookstore and want them to receive all the community support!

The shop feels so cozy and clean and nice to be in. Tons of variety. Little notes around the store with info about different books. I'll definitely be back!
