Reading some of the reviews I was concerned about being sent here for treatment and recovery for my infected abscess. My worries about the care/staff/the building/ and food were totally without merit. The food is excellent and menu varied. The staff was extremely professional and friendly. The rooms were cleaned everyday and I saw no evidence of any bugs or insects.
I have seen several acute care facilities when I was an EMT driving an ambulance. The facility is clean and unlike so many places I've been too there was no odor of fecal matter or residents left in the halls tied to chairs. The food was excellent and not what I expected. So far after two weeks the menus have not been repeated. This is an acute care facility and that means there are other residents, individuals with different levels of care, and there will be times when the staff is busy with another resident. The honest truth is nobody wants to be in any type of care facility. Having a family member in a care facility means something has gone wrong. That is life and nobody likes it. Spring Valley Acute Care is an exception to the general idea when people think of a care facility. My review is this is an excellent place to recover or for long term treatment.
