Convenient location with friendly staff. As a family of 5, we like the SpringHill room layouts with the 2 queens and sofa bed. Imagine our delight with the family suite with the bunk beds. The bathroom wasn't as large as other SpringHill Suites we have stayed in, but it had the best breakfast of the 3 we recently stayed at. Facilities--would have liked a hot tub!

In previous visits, I’ve been intrigued by the solid combination of age and location this Marriott property offers and kept it in mind for future visits. I was excited to finally give the SpringHill a try during a recent trip for the Disneyland Half weekend. To start with the positives, the room had an awesome view - the second I opened the door I saw the back of Mission Breakout dominating the view out my window (complemented by a landscape of mountains), and looking to the left I could see Incredicoaster, Mickey’s Fun Wheel, and the soon-to-be rebranded Paradise Pier Hotel. I stayed mid-week so no fireworks, but it would’ve been a prime view. The room was quite large, bigger than I would expect from a SpringHill especially given the location. The breakfast was well-stocked and had quite the variety of options; the area seemed packed at first but there was ample seating and it started to mellow out around 8:00am as guests went to the parks. The walk to the parks was straightforward and 10 minutes to the archway on Harbor, 15 minutes to the ticket gates.||Where the hotel started to decline was upkeep of fixtures and housekeeping. I’m not sure how old the property is exactly (it’s been here at least seven years from my memory) but the furniture and fixtures in the room are definitely starting to show their age (scratches, fading, stains, etc.). Though these things didn’t impact the use of amenities, they didn’t quite reflect the price tag of the property. The tub in my room either wasn’t cleaned or was poorly cleaned between guests - when I turned the faucet on to run water, the water in the tub initially became a little discolored (like there had been dry dirt in the tub) and there were several hairs in the tub, on the side of it, on the soap pumps, etc. I let the front desk know and the person I talked to didn’t seem to really understand what I was saying; she kept thinking it was discoloration in the water supply rather than housekeeping’s error (despite trying to explain a couple times that the hairs didn’t come out of the faucet / were nowhere near it). Since she kept saying she thought it was a maintenance issue, I asked for it not to be looked at until I checked out since I was working remote from my room; that request fell on deaf ears. Staff overall was a mixed bag - some were awesome (one guy at the front desk was super welcoming and receptive, I think his name might’ve been Joey?), while others weren’t enthusiastic about their jobs. Another area that I was surprised by is the amount of noise that was clear as day in guest rooms. I’m realistic about noise (given the location) and expected to hear the occasional souped-up street car race by, but the regular flow of traffic was quite loud (even with TVs on). Noise could easily be heard from neighboring rooms and the hallways too. ||While I wouldn’t totally write this place off, I would wait until it’s been renovated to come back. The location is convenient for both the convention center and Disneyland, the breakfast is one of the better offerings I’ve seen at a Marriott recently (Mickey waffles were a cute touch), and the room size can’t be beat; however, the upkeep and cleanliness leave a lot to be desired.

Stay here often on our trips to Disneyland.
Pros
- Great Location in Anaheim if visiting parks.
- Easy walk to Disneyland gates. 15min walk at most.
- Covered Parking
- Front desk person super helpful on check in, asked if we had questions and gave tons of tips.
Cons
- Service has gone down since first visits years ago, Marriot status, and still won’t do late checkout till morning of, can’t plan ahead. Asked for early cleaning (they only clean every other day) so we could get our baby sleeping for a nap and would not accommodate.
- “free” Breakfast is a disaster. Cleanliness is gone, food maybe available if you wait 30min to see if they bring out something. Asked if we could get a table cleaned so we could sit and the person pointed to the napkins.
- Front desk staff person last day was extremely rude. Asked two questions and attitude was horrible.
