Unfortunately Sprouts gets away with average because the quality of California grocery stores is so poor. Sprouts charged me $50 for 2 whole chickens! They tried to market these with all the ECO terms but in the end THEY ARE JUST OVERPRICED CHICKENS. Baked first chicken but ended up picking off the remaining meat and gave that to my golden retriever. She gave Sprouts 5 stars. The 2nd I prepared for grilling pieces. Confirmed I’m not Gordon Ramsay. However, nothing special about this grill.
Also purchased 2 cantaloupes for $5. The ones I selected were firm and dry outside. Fantastic sweet taste. Will buy again. Buyer be aware - many cantaloupe were soft and wet on the bottom!
New York Strips and Filets are better than supermarket.
Will return for fruit and red meat. I will buy chicken elsewhere.
Know this - a better than average review for groceries in California is far below average in terms of quality, cost and customer service in the heartland!
