The owner of the store removed my review from Yelp so I'm posting my review on Google.
Here's what i wrote on yelp: I had a incident with the owner of Stabiles. I purchased a necklace in the mobile store then subsequently visited the HQ store a few hours later where I saw the same necklace priced for $10 less. When I asked for a price adjustment, the owner came back and told me he misprinted the piece and that the price I paid was correct. He told me he would give me $5 back or could do the return. In this situation, I really felt like he should have honored the price listed. When I told him, I was going to write a review about our exchange and the fact he wasn't going to give me a proper price adjustment, he then changed his game and offered to pay me the entire price for the piece. I took great offense in this and felt like he should have just done the right thing and honor the $10...in my eyes, it wasn't the money, it's the principle. Shop someplace else if you want to support someone with honorable principles.
I think the fact he removed my review tells a lot about the kind of person he is. He's more concerned with 5 star reviews than running a business in an ethical manner. I also will add one additional point of clarification that after I told him I was going to post a review on Yelp, he first threatened to return my product without my consent and take the product back before he threw out the often of paying for the entire piece. My family owned a small business for over 20 years and we would have never treated our customers this way.
