Staircase Campground

It's a great place to take a day trip.You can camp or hike here also.

Spent two nights with a dog in the campground in sites 8 and 6. Definitely recommend 6, but not 8. The center campsites have no real privacy. Overall, the campground is nice. Campground is close to lots of hiking and Lake Cushman. Since I had a dog with me, I couldn't hike in the Park, but Forest Service trails were very close. Water in Lake Cushman was great for swimming. Definitely worth a visit.

I went for a day hike to the Staircase Rapids Trails. It was amazing, and crowded. But I got there around 1100 a.m. on a Saturday too. The next time I go, it will be during the week. Totally worth my time.
