We were with Custom Security for decades and then they were purchased by Stanley Security. Custom Security was a local company and Stanley is a national company, so we were worried that our service would be degraded.
On the one hand, wait times when we call in for service have gone up. It's harder to get someone on the line to schedule an appointment if we have trouble with our hardware, but the service technicians we have access to are amazing. Specifically, one gentleman named Tom.
We have an alarm on our chain link fence that has been giving us problems - false alarms, faults, problems when arming, all kinds of things. We've had multiple teams out to try to fix it and nothing has ever really solved the problem completely. Tom finally came out today and rather than patching the wire that has been causing the majority of the problems, he finally just ran an entirely new wire all the way around the fence. So we have a real solution for the problem and hopefully we won't have the chronic problems any more! I highly recommend requesting Tom if you have any issues with your Stanley Security system. He's very knowledgeable, personable, and he's not afraid to take the steps necessary to actually FIX the problem.
