Spent time here from the fall through the winter 2023-2024. At first everything was fine … even fantastic. Unfortunately there were power issues and Cynthia requested we move to a different space which was way to close to a permanent structure occupied by a long term resident. We explained we did not feel comfortable being so close that the neighboring structure could hear our conversations and wouldn’t allow for our slides to fully extend.
She then asked for us to break camp and move 1 spot over. Which we were happy to do. Things went fine until the power issue came back. Her solution: break camp again, stay in same spot but turn around facing the wrong direction AND plugin to the same power we used in the previous spot.
Cynthia and her boyfriend are the most condescending people I’ve met. They evidently think they are the winter camping experts. They are not. I am limited in mobility with my hands and wrists due to a medical issue. We’ve wintered in WY, ND, IN, MI so we know what we can/can’t do. I paid them for materials and their labor to place insulation around the bottom of our class-c motorhome. They saw condensation drips freeze and insisted our RV was froze up. It was not but since the wind is bad there I thought it was prudent to insulate.
But one particular day it got down to -17F and the parks water head we connect our heated water hose to froze and burst. They attempted to charge us $350 for their broken equipment.
The owner became very sarcastic and condescending when I attempted to explain to him his infrastructure is NOT our responsibility to maintain due to his equipment freezing. Our RV never froze up.
Avoid this place unless you like voyeuristic monitoring by Cynthia and her boyfriend via cameras (We watched the boyfriend turn one camera to aim it toward our motorhomes front window). Avoid unless you don’t mind them continually giving you unsolicited (usually wrong) advice. Avoid unless you enjoy watching temper tantrums being thrown in the lot because a box wasn’t fully broken down in the trash trailer.
Oh. If you use AT&T cellular you’re screwed … no signal. T-Mobile works. Bathrooms/Shower facility is fine too as long as she turns the heat above 40F in the winter. Closest fuel station 12 miles to the South in Colfax … same for any kind of food, grocery, service or other civilization.
