This is our favorite place to go on family camping/fishing trips. There is a convenience store with various camping supplies you may need. They have wood, fishing gear, food, beer, wine, as well as a lunch/dinner menu with DELICIOUS gyros. There's icecream by the scoop, which is a kid favorite on a hot day! If you need anything they don't carry, there is a grocery store less than 3 miles away.
The staff are very helpful and friendly! We learned how to catch and clean fish with the help of Tim, one of the owners, and one of the friendly residents, Joe. We catch a lot of perch, blue gill, catfish, and have even seen trout. There is a fish cleaning station, which is always clean!
There are 24 hr, coin operated, hot showers. You can get quarters from the store if you forgot to grab some. The bathrooms are clean and well lit, not outhouses. There are bumper boat, kayak, and paddleboard rentals. There is a boat launch and a designated swimming area for little kids.
The cabins are very cute, affordable, and clean. Bring your own sheets and bedding! There's wifi, which is an added bonus! The check in and out times let you enjoy your day past noon and give you almost a full 24 hrs unlike most places. The tent sites are clean and spacious as well. We love the sense of community and family at Streeter's and look forward to many more visits to come!
