This is an excellent place to camp. there is a large open area in the middle with camp sites around the perimeter. the open space allows you to get nice views right from the place you are camped. We booked 3 glamping tents for a group of 15. It worked out great. It saved us the effort to setup and dismantle tents. Also the glamping tents had comfortable beds and we got a good night sleep.
The number of restrooms was small as compared to the number of campers. Bathrooms were not cleaned often enough and became dirty on the second/third day of the long weekend. Also, bath tissue and paper towels ran out a couple of times.
Overall it's still a great place to camp.
The location was pretty and we were next to a creek that was very nice. Our actual campsite was much smaller than advertised and we had many problems with one particular staff member that I will come back to. My group of seven people stayed for 5 nights. On the website, there is a picture of the site that includes the site next to it but does not clarify that they are two separate sites. When my group got there we assumed the whole space was ours so we had our things across both sites. A friendly camp host came by and told us that we actually only had half the space and we should move, so we moved. The people from the site next to us never showed up but we still kept our stuff on what we thought was our own side. On the third day we were there, a different camp host told us we were bleeding into the camp next to us and to move but refused to give us a clear answer about where to move to. We readjusted and then still were told to move and he threatened to kick us out or charge us for the entirety of the other campsite. Eventually after enough threats of this I walked down to the visitors center and politely told him he needed to show us the exact line where the campsites separated. He protested and said "it's really not that hard" and we just needed to "figure it out". I said we had been trying to do that for days and that he needed to show us or we weren't going to move. I went back to camp and we actually measured and found the exact middle between the sites and we were not across it. Eventually he found the time to show us where the line was. The line he showed us was at least three feet away from the actual middle line, encroaching on our space. We were annoyed but moved because we were tired of being in trouble. Because of this limited space we were forced near the dumpsters which really sucked. We tried to stay polite and wave and say good morning and he never engaged once. The final straw was when he waited for me to pass by his truck to suddenly pull out and drive away. It definitely felt like he was picking on us because we were younger than him and happened to be in the site right next to where he lives.
Another important detail is that on our second night, we had a noise complaint against us. We felt very bad and realized we were actually being super rude so we went straight to sleep and every night after that were extremely careful. We didn't have a single complaint after that. Directly after that was when this specific camp host started to seemingly pick on us.
Another thing to mention is that they charge $10 a night for an extra car which was not specified on the website and hurt our teenage pockets. Also, every time I was in the visitor's center there was someone in front of me who was also having problems.
I will mention that there was another camp host who was very kind and we liked him a lot. All the other staff were also very professional before and after the complaint.
I might go again but I would definitely not choose a site directly next to a camp host. Be wary of the sites near Campsite #12!
