I have been trying for weeks to get someone at SPMC to call me back. I call, wait on hold forever, given conflicting info, and then told someone will call me back, but no one ever does. As a result, the situation has become urgent, but I can't reach anyone for help and will probably end up in ER and filing complaints with the State for extremely unsafe practices & negligence. If you go to SPMC, good luck actually getting any info outside of an actual in-person office visit which takes many months to get and those promised referrals will never come through. SPMC has the absolute worst communications of any medical provider I have ever experienced, they are a medical malpractice lawsuit just waiting to happen. Seriously SPMC, why do you treat your patients with such absolute negligence and complete lack of caring?
In response to the below from SPMC, I have been trying to reach your patient experience specialists, have left them many messages, and their responses have had almost nothing to do with what I contacted them about. It's like they're just trying to spit out the fastest possible response so they can close the case. In fact, most of the time, they never respond at all. I am now contacting medical malpractice lawyers. SPMC used to be great, but they're worse than seeing no doctor at all now. BTW, I tried scheduling an appointment yesterday and even though I specified another resident wouldn't work, they still scheduled me with another resident! I now have to spend hours on hold tomorrow to change it. What the heck is wrong with this place, they never listen to people and it's one massive, scary screw-up after another with them. It has been one nightmare after another with them, they totally don't care. PLEASE STOP TELLING EVERYONE TO CONTACT PATIENT EXPERIENCE WHEN NO ONE THERE EVER ANSWERS THE PHONE OR RESPONDS TO URGENT MESSAGES!!!
