I have been a longtime patient of Dr. Summer and have been treated by him and his staff multiple times with a positive experience. Recently, my daughter, a 3 sport athlete, was referred for treatment twice with overlapping issues. We really struggled with scheduling and lousy customer service from the young lady in his office. Out of complete frustration, we ended therapy early. Fast-forward several months, I personally have total knee replacement and attempt to schedule my PT appointments where I need to be seen the first time 2-3 days post surgery. I was only calling 1.5 weeks prior to surgery due to my surgery date being moved up due to cancelations. When I reached out to Sumner's office, I was told their schedule could accommodate and the scheduler (same young lady) would call me back. Not receiving a call back, I called again the next day, leaving a voicemail. I tried again to call later the same day and was unable to reach anyone. Immediately, I called the Providence Physical Therapy group at Mt. Carmel Hospital and Colville Physical Therapy, who were both very accommodating, and I decided to get another referral, so I had something I could count on. The kicker, 2 5 weeks later and over a week post surgery, I finally received a call back from (the young girl) at Sumner's office wanting to schedule my appointments. WOW! I'm pretty sure I was short on the phone when I said thanks, but no, I chose Colville Physical Therapy. As a huge customer service advocate, this experience and series of experiences has stunk!
