Rented a telescoping forklift. Gave them the weight, height needing to be lifted and how far out it would need to boom. Delivery was on time. Went to pick up the load and apparently it would not pick it while the forklift faced downhill about 2 degrees. The forks were retracted in all the way but the back wheels were off the ground. Had to drag the load across the yard to get it into position to lift up but when I went to just lift it into position being on a small slope I wanted to level the machine sideways but that function wasn’t operating. Had to give up. Spent over $800 for something that should have taken 20 minutes but wasted 3 hours and ultimately failed to get the job done. Machine sent out was wrong for the job and they should have told me so when renting, but found out that was the largest one that location had and if I needed a larger one I should have gone through a different branch. In their zeal to just rent me equipment they sent me what they had not what I would need. Asked them help me make it right to get a larger machine out at a discount or just void this one and rent me the larger one but was told they couldn’t do that since the machine wasn’t defective and their store didn’t have the larger one. Ridiculous way to treat a customer who works in construction renting equipment for over 15 years. I am experienced in running this type of equipment and am disgusted that they would pull a stunt like this. Beware
