Upon entering Supa, it appears very simply appointed and clean. The tables and chairs done in lighter colored wood enhance the light and cleanliness of the place. Each table has a plastic tub holding chopsticks completely encased in sanitary paper and a small pottery containing soy sauce. If you haven't ordered your food online (which I've yet to do at this point so can not review on this service) you'll need to walk to the counter several paces from the front door. The owner was present and quite pleasant and friendly. Happily answering any questions about the dishes and drinks available. We ordered the gyoza(4 pieces), which came with a shallow dish of ponzu sauce (a mild flavored sauce), which, when combined with the dumpling was very pleasing to the pallet. Next up was 3 pieces each of Tuna roll, Philadelphia roll, and California roll. They asked if we would like a separate dish to go with that which we accepted as we like to mix the Wasabi with the soy sauce for dipping our sushi in. The ingredients were very fresh, the rice was sticky, and it did not fall apart while dipping. While it was delicious, I couldn't help but think there was something missing about the rice ( I still can't quite put my finger on the answer to that as yet). Next was the Ramen bowl. I've never had Tonkotsu Ramen before, but I'll definitely be back for more! Tonkotsu has a pork broth base, a few pieces of pork belly (not too fatty, each a couple of inches long), ramen noodles, julienned carrots, sprouts, a modest crown of broccoli, and one soft boiled egg cut in half. I got the unspicy option, and my husband got the spicy option. The first bite to the last slurp was so delightful! The broth was very clean tasting. Which is to say it wasn't laden with fat that would line your mouth to obstruct any of the other wonderful flavors. The pork belly was meaty enough to provide a very nice satisfying chomp and needed to be bitten in half or thirds, which wasn't terribly difficult to do or awkward. Husband thought I should try a sip of his spicy Tonoksu broth for comparison. The spiciness wasn't too evident at first sip but was gradually warm and stopped before my personal panic point was met (I'm really a wuss about hot spicy foods, though, to be fair I'll will be steering clear of their 'Supa! Hell Ramen.lol). To drink, we ordered peach and mango cheese tea with Boba. It was very good, different, but good. It says 'cheese,' but to me, the topping was more of a heavy whipping cream type of texture. I did not take the lid off to explore further as I was more interested in the Tonkotsu at the time. The price point was easily on par for eating out these days. We WILL be going back to explore their Poke bowl options.
