Always liked Superba and been to their Venice & Hollywood locations so I was excited to try their Pasadena location as well. I saw that the Pasadena menu was mainly brunch foods which I like so I reserved it for my Sunday brunch spot. After eating here, I had so many regrets and it was even worse bc I wasted my fav lunch day on a bad meal😔
🍽️Ordered:
As you can tell from the photos, everything was super lackluster and dry af💀💀 for a place that’s KNOWN for their bread, I was shocked at how bad the bread quality was… each sandwich was stale and it was quite obvious that they used week old bread…
The sausage sandwich’s cheese was cold and completely unmelted as you can tell from the photo. The sandwich was horrible and the bread was so dry I couldn’t even eat more than 1 bite..
I left feeling nauseous which is a really bad sign & it confirmed my suspicion that they didn’t use high quality ingredients. The almond croissant was also burnt on the outside and had a really artificial almond flavor 😔 all in all this experience left a rly bad taste in my mouth (literally) and I won’t be coming again..
💰Price: $30/meal
It took 15 minutes after ordering to get drip coffee and a pastry. Apparently, they were out of coffee and brewed a new batch, however the coffee was not hot and only slightly warm. It wasn't strong either.
The pastry (lemon brioche donut) was tasty but raw in several spots.
I'm being generous with 4 stars.
Great weekend brunch spot with you pups! It has a decent amount of indoor seating and outdoor seating and the overall layout of the restaurant is open concept so it feels very relaxing and airy.
Staff were all very friendly and the food was seclusion. I got the salmon umami bowl and it was the perfect balance of grain, veggies and protein. We also got a loaf of their sourdough bread and it was perfect!
