So disappointing.. we have used Surety in the past and been very happy. This past year, not at all the same experience. We had agreed to a weekly plan to take care of rodents. Traps were set and then... crickets. No weekly checks were happening. They billed us and we called multiple times to try to find out what was going on. No response. When I finally filed a complaint with the BBB, lo and behold, I got a quick call. All seemed to be squared away and service was to resume (so sorry, we've gone through a change in the office, etc.). But it didn't. I kept calling and calling, and finally got a live person from an answering service. They told me the manager would call within 24 hours. Nope. Went through this same process 3x before I finally got a call back. Service did pick back up, but was sporadic (not weekly as contracted). The problem WAS taken care of, though, and we liked the tech who serviced our property. She was knowledgeable and friendly (just likely being asked to do way more than was possible - she was in a hurry!). Anyway, we thought it was finally over, paid the bill. Then I get a threat to send to collections a couple of months later, even though I have a cancelled check as proof of payment. Now it actually HAS been sent to collections and I can't get anybody to answer the phone... again. Horrible, horrible experience!
Update: September 2022... WOW, 5 months after I thought I had finally gotten things cleared up with these guys, I got a call from a collections agency today. Apparently, Surety/Orkin sent this back to collections again. What in the world? These folks are truly inept on the business end. Shortly after my original review, they had actually sent our account to TWO DIFFERENT collections agencies. So much wasted time to get them to finally admit we were paid in full. That was LAST MAY!!?? Weirdest business practices we've ever had to endure!!
